Dionne's Journey Continues... Part 8 iGo 3 & 4, The Innokin iTaste MVP & The ePower
Hey! It’s so good to see you!
I’m really pleased you’ve popped in.
How have you been?
Let’s just grab a cuppa and get comfy…..
Have you been looking online at the kits we’ve been talking about at all?
What are your thoughts so far?
Do you feel swayed in any particular direction?
I’ve been vaping a long time now (over 2½ years) and am very passionate about it as a tool for moving away from using harmful tobacco products. I’ve been amazed at how much my senses of smell and taste have improved. Great at dinner time, not so good when its time to sort laundry!
My home doesn't smell of stale smoke, nor do my clothes and nor do I. I don't have horrid ashtrays to empty and wash. When I’m out with friends and we go to the pub I don't have to go outside and shiver whilst my friends stay inside in the warm enjoying the conversation. These days I don’t miss out on all their juicy gossip!
I began as you know, vaping with a small, slim cigarette looking device but moved on fairly swiftly to using a more powerful one. I’ve tried them all and have enjoyed experimenting along the way. Each model and new development in the market offers more advanced features and additional benefits. Some I love to use and others I’m not keen on and quickly discard and this would be true of anyone because we all have our own individual like and dislikes just as we do when smoking a particular brand of cigarette or pouch tobacco, or choosing food from a menu when dining out.
Then, after we’ve looked at all of their starter kit choices I thought we could take a look at other atomisation devices which you might like to try and which can be added to a kit and will open up a whole new world of vaping pleasure!
iGo 3 & iGo 4
The iGo 3 and iGo 4 kits both come with a unique desktop charging base/stand. This is awesome because it gives you somewhere to put your device down! But, as well as being a great stand it also charges the battery whilst it’s in there. Unlike the Ego and 510 batteries supplied in their other kits the iGo batteries do not need to be dismantled from the atomisation device and then screwed into a charger.
- 2 x iGo 3 650mAh batteries (arrive partially charged)
- 2 x iGo CE4 Clearomisers (1.6ml) 2.6-2.8 Ohm
- 1 x iGo 3 Desktop base charger
- 1 x E-liquid dropper bottle
iGo 4
- 2 x iGo 4 750mAh batteries (arrive partially charged)
- 2 x iGo CE4 clearomisers(1.6ml) 2.6 - 2.8 ohm
- 1 x iGo 4 Desktop base charger
- 1 x e-liquid dropper bottle
Now we’re moving into a new dimension as we take look at the iTaste MVP V.2 and ePower kits. These kits feature batteries that offer so much in terms of their power and they’re also packed with many additional features. Let’s discover them now….
The batteries of both the iTaste MVP V.2 and ePower V.2 are ‘box mods’ which means that they are box shaped and are a real departure from the devices that are cigarette or ‘pen’ style. Perhaps a real statement that what you are doing is vaping and are clearly not smoking.
They are hugely powerful and are also powerbanks. This means that the stored power can be used and transferred to other devices such as an iPod, MP3 player, mobile phone or even a tablet. Brilliant when you are out and about!
They can also both be used as passthrough batteries. This means that you can vape with them whist simultaneously they are charging via your PC.
Both of these batteries are Variable Voltage and the power output can be altered so that more heat is generated during vaping. The ePower offers several preset voltage options and the iTaste MVP V.2 can be altered in 0.1v increments. The coil will become hotter and the e-liquid atomised more quickly. This produces much more vape and a fuller taste experience. Care should be taken not to have the voltage so high as to burn your coil out. It is advisable to check a chart to make sure you stay within the range specified. If you go too hot not only will your coil burn out it will also carbonise and this carbonisation will discolour and taint the taste of the liquid. Start experimenting slowly, and at your own risk!!!
The iTaste MVP V.2 is also Variable Wattage. The ability to alter wattage as well as voltage gives much greater variation in the power output. Again, care should be taken when increasing wattage so as not to burn the atomisation devices coil out. Start out slowly and at your own risk!!!!
Both devices feature puff counters which can be reset each day so that you can monitor your vaping habits.
Both batteries have an ohms meter built in which will read the ohms resistance of the device screwed onto it and will automatically set to the correct voltage output.
Both batteries have functions to monitor remaining power and indicate this with the use of different coloured LED’s.
Both models come with multi contact cables fitted with the 3 most common power connections (iPhone/iPod, Mini USB, Micro USB). The cable is used both for charging and can be utilised when operating as a powerbank.
Both the iTaste MVP V.2 and ePower V.3 come with clearomisers. However they are also both dual threaded and can therefore be used with any other clearomiser device.
Which one of the great kits we’ve been discussing will you be choosing as you embark on your vaping life?
Exhale have offered 2 each of the iGo 3 and 4 and 1 each of the iTaste MVP V.2 and ePower V.2 to readers of my blog in exchange for their opinions.
