Dionne's Journey...the anxieties of making choices... Part 3

Hey there! It’s good to see you.

Last time we were here we were talking about that last, final cigarette.

It’s a scary time and deciding to invest your smoking money into something else might leave you feeling more than a little anxious….

FINANCIAL ANGST

Once you spend a large proportion of your smoking funds on an electronic cigarette kit it HAS to work for you. You want to save money in the long run, but this initial outlay is cutting a huge slice from the money you would normally spend on your tobacco. This choice HAS to be right!

SELF DOUBT ANGST

Many people decide to undertake the transition in tandem with a partner. I know I did! This often means then double the financial outlay (unless they decide to share a starter kit – not recommended). If you’re anything like I was you’ll be overwhelmed with self-doubt and, at sea amongst the ocean of new words and different devices… but you feel you must at some point take the plunge and make a choice… And this self doubt might be worse for you if you have already suffered various failed attempts to give up smoking and wonder if this is really going to work for you, if this time you can do it…. No wonder it’s so bloomin’ stressful!

THEN THERE’S TRUST ANGST

Essentially you are placing a great deal of trust in your chosen supplier. This supplier must be able to to fulfil your orders correctly and in a timely manner….no longer can you just pop to the local shop to get your next pack or pouch. (It is though worth giving the supplier a break too, he or she can’t magic your goods to you, you have to order well enough in advance of running out and leave a little leeway should the postal service not run as quickly as one would like).

FINALLY THERE’S DEVICE & ELIQUID ANGST

Which device will be right for you?

Will you like the liquid flavour?

Will it satisfy me?

Is it safe?

Am I wasting my money?

Over the coming weeks I will be writing about all of Exhale’s electronic cigarettes, their atomisation devices, their e-liquids and you’ll more likely than not have searched and read reviews about various devices and liquids already?

Some things you will read or hear about will be biased, and that’s human nature and perhaps because the review writer has a vested interest in you choosing their product….

You may be influenced in your choice based on the experience of someone you know and trust. But remember, as with smoking, our habits and needs are as individual as we ourselves are.

We might buy a different brand of cigarette or tobacco than our friends, we may not smoke as often, or down as far before stubbing out. We might inhale a little deeper, hold the smoke in for a little less time.. there are so many variables… and it’s worth remembering too that each of us is looking to fulfil a need and requirement that fits with our lifestyle and budget. What your friend has might well work for you, however, be prepared for the fact it might not.

Next time I will be writing about making choices and will offer help and guidance based on YOUR needs and tastes, so I hope I will see you again soon, but if you can't wait and want to get going right away, you might wish to give those extraordinary people at Exhale a call!
