Covkartsport - Lee Henderson Exhale Sponsorship News!

Do you remember we told you about a keen young Kart Racer who had approached us for sponsorship? We proudly announced that we had agreed a sponsorship deal, initially for a year.

Things were put into action and recently our intrepid young racer brought us good news. He'd taken delivery of his new race suit emblazoned with our Exhale Electronic Cigarettes branding. He wore it at Ellough Park Raceway putting our name front and centre as he entered his his 2nd Covkartsport event of the year. 

We think he looks very smart!

Read on then as Lee tells us a little about his high speed, high octane day.

On Sunday 14th September after claiming some silverware at the recent Open in Ancaster, Lincolnshire I had high hopes of continuing with my winning streak on my home tuft,  Ellough Park. It's a track I'm very familiar having been racing on this circuit for the past 10 years. 

Starting pole position for my first race, I couldn't wait for the racing to begin. However, very quickly I realised the kart I was in was miles off the pace. This was a race that was going to be a battle ground. After some last lap pushing and shoving I managed a disappointing 10th place finish. 

In my second race I started 12th. The kart had sustained some damage. The now bent chassis meant that lefthand turns were nigh on impossible. It was a handicap but I managed to bring it home in 6th place which delighted me and raised my spirits.

In my third, final race of the day I started 13th and combatting the same karting issues, I knew I had to dig deep. There was some superb driving skills, and determined to do well, my endurance paid off. I was pleased to sprint to cross the finish line in 8th position.

The overall results meant that I finished 15th overall in Heavyweight class and a creditable 2nd in Heavyweight Plus class.

I'm  currently 75 points clear and still on to win the 

Ellough Park Heavyweight Championship 

for the 3rd year in a row. 

If I succeed, I will be only racer in Ellough Park history to retain a championship there over 3 consecutive years. I want Exhale and it's customers to share in this success.

Very soon the 2015 events calendar will be released and together with support from Exhale I hope to fulfil long held dreams and ambitions as I start to plan toward a bigger and better 2015."
